Call for Applications: Engage Research Capacity Building Program 2018/19

The ENGAGE Team is pleased to announce the 2018-2019 Engage Studentship Awards competition.

Who is Eligible?

 We invite applications from graduate level students who are enrolled or plan to be enrolled in full-time programs at recognized institutions in September 2018 and are interested in working with the gbMSM community. Applicants should have demonstrated interest or experience in HIV and sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections prevention research, quantitative and/or qualitative research methods, data management and analysis skills, and have the ability to work collaboratively with a multi-site investigator team in collaboration with community-based organizations. Prior engagement with gbMSM communities is considered an asset.

What is Available?

Trainees are eligible for funding renewal, and all applications are reviewed each year. The Engage study is funded by the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR), the Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN), the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), and the Direction de prévention des ITSS du Ministère de la santé et des services sociaux du Québec.

Amounts awarded per year for studentships:

 $17,850  – Master’s or PhD graduate level

$20,000  – Master’s or PhD graduate level, with the UWW/Engage Fellowship

 

The application deadline for the 2017-2018 competition is Monday, July 30th, 2018.
