The Engage study aimed to provide a portrait of various aspects of the sexual health of gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBM) with the objective of supporting interventions aimed at preventing the spread of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI). The Engage study is a multidisciplinary collaboration of many Canadian researchers; participants were recruited in the metropolitan regions of Montréal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Engage started as a cross-sectional study in 2017 and was then extended for six years as a closed cohort study (i.e. only participants who completed the initial visit were invited back for follow-up visits).
The Engage Montréal: Cohort Study Highlights (2017-2023) report is a continuation of the Montréal Cycle 2017-2018 Highlights and showcases the evolution of salient sexual and general health bio-behavioural indicators across the duration of the study.
