Paolo Palma is a postdoctoral fellow for Engage, working out of Toronto. His research focuses on people’s attitudes towards marginalized groups and how experiences of discrimination and social support affect the health outcomes of GBM from multiply marginalized communities (e.g., GBM immigrants and racialized GBM).
He received is graduate training at Western University (University of Western Ontario), where he honed his skills in psychometrics, scale development and survey construction, and advanced statistical techniques to study anti-immigrant attitudes. In addition to his academic work, Paolo has also worked as a contract researcher for the London & Middlesex Local Immigration Partnership, investigated and developed corporate DEI strategies as a Mitacs Accelerate recipient, and worked with Canadian Heritage’s Policy Research Group for the federal government.
