Dr. Gilles Lambert

As medical consultant at the Surveillance Office of the Ministry of Health and Social Services of Quebec, the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec and the Direction de santé publique of Montreal, Dr. Lambert has been working in the field of STBBIs for the past 20 years. His principle areas of interest are the health of vulnerable populations (notably youth in difficulty, injection drug users, the incarcerated, men who have sex with men), epidemiological research and surveillance, development and evaluation of preventive interventions (outreach screening programs, health education social marketing campaigns, protection material access networks, vaccination programs, sexual partner notification, etc.) as well as the organization of services and knowledge transfer.
