NAAT swabs now available at Engage Toronto!

NAAT is finally available at Engage Toronto for testing of gonorrhea and chlamydia in throat and rectal sites! Some of the benefits of NAAT include:

1. Participants don’t have to provide as many swabs since NAAT can be used to test for both gonorrhea and chlamydia from a single swab.
2. The possibility if receiving an inconclusive result decreases since NAAT is less sensitive than cultures to contamination (which is more likely to happen with self-collection).

We are excited to let our participants know that, with NAAT, STI testing for the study should be less of a pain in the ass moving forward 😛
